A passionate and experienced Lead Carpenter who wants to join a dynamic and growing Paul Davis Team:

Lead Carpenter
$25.00 - $35.00 per hour depending on experience


A Lead Carpenter at Paul Davis manages and oversees reconstruction projects from start to finish. This role requires exceptional carpentry skills, strong leadership abilities, and a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will be a proactive communicator, adept at problem-solving, and committed to upholding the highest standards of safety and quality.

Description
  • Lead and supervise a team of carpenters, apprentices, and subcontractors
  • Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans
  • Perform all phases of carpentry, including framing, trim work, cabinetry installation, and door and window installation
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project flow
  • Estimate material and labor costs, and order materials as needed
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior carpenters and apprentices
  • Maintain accurate project records and reports
  • Troubleshoot and resolve construction-related issues effectively
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 5 years of verifiable carpentry experience
  • Proven experience leading and supervising a team.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, construction methods, and materials
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and construction documents
  • Expertise in using a variety of hand and power tools
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Preferred Experience
  • OSHA certification and knowledge of safety regulations preferred
