A passionate and experienced Lead Carpenter who wants to join a dynamic and growing Paul Davis Team:
Lead Carpenter
$25.00 - $35.00 per hour depending on experience
A Lead Carpenter at Paul Davis manages and oversees reconstruction projects from start to finish. This role requires exceptional carpentry skills, strong leadership abilities, and a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will be a proactive communicator, adept at problem-solving, and committed to upholding the highest standards of safety and quality.
Description
- Lead and supervise a team of carpenters, apprentices, and subcontractors
- Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans
- Perform all phases of carpentry, including framing, trim work, cabinetry installation, and door and window installation
- Coordinate with Project Managers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project flow
- Estimate material and labor costs, and order materials as needed
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies
- Provide training and mentorship to junior carpenters and apprentices
- Maintain accurate project records and reports
- Troubleshoot and resolve construction-related issues effectively
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 5 years of verifiable carpentry experience
- Proven experience leading and supervising a team.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, construction methods, and materials
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and construction documents
- Expertise in using a variety of hand and power tools
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- OSHA certification and knowledge of safety regulations preferred
